Default 1/7 ofna gtp

Wanted to ask a few questions to see if any one have any info. I have a ofna gtp 1/8 for a few years and wanting something 1/7 now that the bodies are available on ebay , been thinking of cutting a longer chassis for it to fit the larger bodies does any know of a ofna chassis the may already be long enough like a tuggy chassis. hoping one may be comparable with the ultra hardware. looked at the traxxax and the gt2 cars but would save money stretching the gtp chassis

I assume the body you're talking about is the "Killerbody 1/7" bodies made for the Traxxas XO1? If so they look really cool but there are two other issues besides wheelbase to contend with. First is the width of the 1/7 body at 287mm, compared to the width of the typical GTP bodies which is about 311mm. This means the tires will be sticking outside the body about 1/4" per side. The second issue is the wheel openings which are designed to be filled with XO1 tires that are larger diameter than typical 1/8 touring car tires. Regular 1/8 touring car tires would look ruin the look in my opinion, I'd have to run XO1 wheels and tires. If XO1 wheels have a narrower offset you could kill get the tires back under the body at the same time. Ofna does not make a Ultra or LX platform truggy, I believe they're all Hyper based. Either way your LX based GTP components won't bolt on and the chassis are too short anyway with wheelbases in the 370mm range when you need 402mm for the XO1 based body.
