Smile Please help me :) I'm a noob with a GT12 whoose had some bad luck :)

Hi

I previously used a discontinued Ore kit with discontinued Electronics and crappy foam wheels that are in shreds

Now though, I have an RXGT12 Zen Racing Kit

But all of my Eletronics (minus the Battery and Servo) died on me during the last race I had with my Ore

So now I need new electronics

So . . . Could anyone suggest any 13.5 turn motors and an ESC I could get? they of course need to be BRCA Legal and of course my GT12 is meant for carpet racing

Thanks

I'd say Novak, but that really isn't an option anymore. It all depends on your budget. For low, go with a Hobbywing XERUN 13.5 combo, and for higher, a Reedy Sonic 13.5 combo would be great.

If I remember right, the GT12 rules allow for a 1S lipo on up to a 13.5 motor. I have always liked the Hobbywing speed controls and they have been bullet-proof for me in all cases. They are not cheap though, so if budget is a concern the Trackstar 1S 120A speed control is a much less expensive option. I recently bought a Team Powers 45A 1S speed control from RCMart for $35 USD and it works great too. It just has a lower rating than the others but might work for you.

Motors are tougher and the fastest I have seen are the hand built Team Scream motors. Hope you're sitting as they cost a bloody fortune and there is a waiting list. There are other 1S short stack specific motors out there including examples by Reedy, Trinity, Fantom and others.
