Traxxas XO-1 roller or OFNA GTP2e
I'm getting ready to build a road car for fooling around and some speed runs, 80-100mph since my TC3 is showing it's age..
Back to the project at hand...Ddon't think I have the patience to build a kit from scratch. So I'm getting an 80% built kit, or a roller from ebay. RTR is out of the question since I will probably end up replacing ESC/motor/radio/servo anyway.
My choices for now are
OFNA GTP-2e is $200 as a roller with body and tires
XO-1 $225 for a new roller, no body or tires.
ESC/Motor combo $200-250 either XERUN or CC
Servo -- ??? Suggestions welcome
Already have radio and ample lipos 3s 5000mah
XO-1 will be about $100 over the OFNA due to tires, body and pinion not included with roller, but I think there are more parts available out there which will come in handy when something breaks or I crash. Any suggestions on which of these two to get and type of servo.
Budget for now is $600 which I think is doable for each of these. Need help soon before wife spends the money
I also have a 1/8 buggy that arrived about a week ago that is also waiting on ESC/motor
