RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
can I change my stock tt-01 plastic tub to the carbon fiber two peice frame like M52 power's car(pic at the top of the page)? is it a simple swap? and is it worth it for drifting? Thanks.

Yes you can swap it over. There is no need to buy anything else. The carbon fibre chassis costs around $80. It is a lot of money, but I use it in racing against TA-05s and it gives me the edge (with a number of other hop ups). It would have been cheaper to get a higher end chassis for that money, but I have 3 TT-01s and don't want to start carrying spares for another type of chassis. I would not spend that money for drifting, but would stick with the bath tub chassis and spend the money on better tires and motor.

Probally cos the standard gearing is 19/61 m8 26/61 wont work no way wont mesh ever lol
go from 19/61 to 23/58 you will need to buy the spur set (55/58) and pinions pack (22/23)
Below is the TT gear chart shows you what you can use together if you try meshing gears together that arent suppose to work together it will chew spurs up

Hi All,
Here's some pics of the Enzo I picked up from one of the RCU members. Been doing a lot of reading tonight and though you'd enjoy some larger pics.
Body wasn't painted yet so I pick the gun metal colour I love. Several upgrades are ordered. For now I've just added a 15T Raven motor and a Spektrum receiver. The Futaba receiver shown in the pic was switched into my M1025 Humvee since i use it as a crawler.
Painted and stickered:
Naked!!
Some of my other toys:
My favorites!

Beautiful Enzo! My brother has one just like it. For future reference when your tires wear out be very careful getting the tires off the wheels. I tried boiling his tires off (they wore out in one weekend) and the wheels warped.
I think the Enzo is the nicest TT01 that Tamiya has ever come up with.

Thanks! I think I may try some foams. Since the weather is still in the 0C range there's not too much traction. A trick I found ws to clean the wheels with auto brake cleaner first. This makes them more tacky. Works very well when glueing them too.
I have a bunch of red aluminum parts, shocks and bearings on order from RCMART. Should be here for next week!

That enzo looks really really smart ! You've done a great job !
Makes me a little envious. My tt01 doesn't look so pretty anymore []

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
I finally got my TT-01 going good! And then, disaster.... the screw hole where the parallel steering arms are screwed into shattered = no more steering and a ruined chassis... but before that, it was going great! I love my TT-01, and I believe it was absolutely perfect before this minor mishap... I have the following upgrades:
Tamiya TRF alum shocks
Carbon upper deck
front and rear stabilizers
ball bearings
front cvd's
ball end tie-rods
all of tamiya's aluminum steering stuff
adjustable upper arms
aluminum propeller shaft
metal motor mount
aluminum bumper stopper
2 degree toe in rear
castle creations sidewinder brushless esc with 5700kV brushless motor
24/58 gearing
Hitec HS-5965MG High Speed Digital Coreless 2BB Servo
intergy motor heat sink with fan
racing slicks
and purple aluminum clamping hexes...
the TT-01 is an amazing chassis, and i am shocked that it doesnt rip to pieces when i run it on an 8cell nimh battery.... as my first touring car, i am completely satisfied with my tt-01!

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
This is a Tamiya TT-01 thread mate. But, if your not using lipo's i don't see why you can't. If you are using lipo's then you really should get an esc that can cut off the power at a certain voltage (3v per cell normally).
