What tires are you using. When I used the tires it came with all they did is spin even on pavement. You will need to get a softer tire or try scuffing up the tires with some sand paper or wire brush that may help. By the way if you changed the front shock tower i would replace the rear with the XXX-T also. It will take more of a beating if you are like me and are jumping the truck.

I dont get it. How is the shock tower the same? It looks like the body mount where the clip goes for the Speed T, the position is different, also for the speed T the body mount area on the shock tower is an extra peice that is held with 2 screws and the XXXT version looks like its Part of the shock tower in a different position, please see pictures. I also broke that part for my Speed T.

This picture is for the XXX T and the XXX NT

This picture is the shock tower for the Speed T, notice the shock tower body clip area... how do you mount the body to the shock tower? they kinda look different 2 me.

You are right, the front shock tower mates on the botom perfectly but it does not have the same location for the body mounts. I just uesd 1 screw ti hold the nount for now.

smackymb101, what do you recomend for new tires to pop whelies on the pavement? What do you use for off-road? ALso, does the speet T use the same Tranny as the XXX-T?

Thanks for the help!

Tranny is the same at least the internals are. For the shock towers yes the body mounts are different and you will need to buy the XXX-T body for it unless you can figure a way to use the speed t body on it. Im sorry that I forgot to mention that. So you will need a the shock tower and the body mounts.

here is a link to amainhobbies.com that has them.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/15180

For tires I use either proline holeshots with pink or Team Losi King Pin. Both work real nice. But be ready to tear up the tread if your running them on the road.

I look at it this way. If you change the speed-T over to a XXX-T you wont have any problems finding parts for it. Plus you will have one fast ass speed-t that can handle alot of abuse. I think just the brushless system alone is worth buying the speed-t.

I wish I had an aswer to that. I havent had a chance to mess with the Losi Dessert TRuck. Everyone has been telling me that the traxxas truck is built alot better Its basically a Rustler and Stampede put together, so ill have to try both of them out in order to know the facts. I will get back to you on that when I get the chance.

and i havent had any problem with the road warrior tires slipping, they stick like a beast ive actually never gotten them to spin.

Yeah you can use XXX-T diffs. Just get the diff and diff balls and your golden. And the tires I had I think were just crap but on a hot day they work really good.

Thats all you need. A locked diff just dont work for that car unless all your doing is street racing from what I hear but I actually gained speed by changing mine to the slip diff so I think your better off anyways. Plus if you ever wanted to convert that truck to a XXX-t Stadium you would be ahead of the game. So order that stuff up and let-er-eat.

well all you need is the front and rear shock towers for a xxx-t and those are cheap. Thats all that is different on those trucks. Oh and your turn buckles but those can be changed too. You can still use the Speed -T ones. Ill look at my truck and let you know if there is anything else. I havent touched that in a long time. Its summer time so NITRO is what is going on right now, but Im buying the new E-Revo this week.

yeah I was looking at it today at our local hobby store and almost bought it but Im holding off untill the end of the week. Putting a Novak 6.5 in it with 2 11.1v 5000mah Lipos in it. all i need is the truck and I can put the goodies in it.

I need some help. I smashed my front end and broke the stock Losi servo. So, I went to the hobby shop and picked up a Hi Tec HS-965MG servo. I put it in and after running the car for a bit, the throttle becomes jumpy when the steering servo is active. The car jumps and will brake while running all the while the throttle is not being touched. It is actually a bit dangerous with the 3s lipo. So I went back to the hobby shop and had them go try 2 different HS-965MG's and the same issue. However, if we plug in the broken Losi servo (LOSB0818 MSX Digital Servo which still works with the broken gear) and there is no problem. So we then tested the Hi Tec HS-645M and the problem went away....unit I got home. I ran it and after about 4 minutes the dreaded throttle twitch returned. So I am about to order the cheap $15 factory replacement. Before I do, does anyone know what the Hi - tec servo would cause this?
