Thanks for the info! Thats a lot better than the 189.00....Now my dad doesn't want to let me buy it until I have a few good reasons. So what are some good reasons for getting a velineon? My dad says i can't use the increase of speed and acceleration because the wheels will just spin in the dirt.

Less maintenance and WAY MORE POWER depending on which battery you use. Towerhobbies sells the Velineon kit for $170.00.

Your father is correct. My 8 NIMH cell VXL Rustler has WAY more power than I need, but it is still funner than brushed motor. The Velineon has a training mode that will slow it down some.

Just tell him over a year the money you will spend on motors,brushes and escs the BL system will work out cheaper in the long run and gain you more money when you sell it
