When you go to the HPI site and look up optional parts they include threaded shocks. In the picture of the shocks you can see sway bars on the chassis. But, there are no sway bars listed. I guess the sway bars in the picture of the shock may be another chassis. You can email HPI.

Tower Hobbies still carries sway bars for the RS4, which is the model the Sprint 2 came from. You could email HPI annd ask if they work on the Sprint 2 the stock number is A209.

I dont think that the rs4 3 will work, I have an rs4 3, I have a feeling that the E10 swaybars might work...

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)
Hey, all.
I have gone through some pages of this thread, and see some questions/gripes about the steering slop on the Sprint 2.
I do have a "cure", though I cannot post pics of it.
If you have your car(s) at the ready, follow these steps:
1) Remove the right and left bell cranks (w/o the steering tie rods). We're starting w/ the left side, so set theright one down.
2) Remove the E-clip at the top of the bellcrank post. Place a shim (approx. .005-.007) on top of the bearing, then replace the E-clip. Now you can set it aside.
3) Pick up the right side bellcrank. remove the servo saver tension adjuster, then spring, set aside.
4) Remove the lower servo saver arm, set aside. Now you should be left with the upper arm w/ post. If you "wiggle" the post in the arm, you'll notice the slop.
5) take Dykes (sidecutters) and CAREFULLY dent the side of the aluminum sleeve with the post still inside the sleeve, at 12:00, 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 O'clock positions around the sleeve.
6) put a small drop of oil between the post and sleeve, chuck the POST in a hand drill, and SLOWLY rotate the post in the sleeve, until it can turn in the sleeve easily. It won't take long, just a few seconds, if you dented the sleeve lightly enough.
7) Re-assemble the bellcrank, and install it in the car, assemble the rest of the parts.
At this point, you will notice a marked improvement in the left side, where all the slop was, if you did this right. If not, you'll have to do it again, with a little more pressure when denting the sleeve. There WILL be a little slop left, no matter what you do, that is caused by the ballcups. Unless you replace them with hollow ball rod ends (like Axial ones, like they use on the AX-10) the slop will remain.
I have done this, and it works! I have also submitted it for publication in Extreme RC Cars magazine, which should be out this month (I wasn't promised it would be published, but the on-road guy said he would try). If you can make sense of my ramblings, give this fix a shot. It will make the speed mods you make to the Sprint 2 worth the trouble!
Thanks for your time, and I hope it helps you guys!

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)
What brushless system should replace my sons Flux with?
Castle Creations 1/10 Sidewndr Sport ESC + 4600 kV
or
Castle Creations 1/10 Sidewinder Sport ESC + 5700 kV
What are the difference?
What is better?
What is faster?

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)
the flux system is the 5700 sidewinder with a different set of stickers to the best of my knowledge, so that wouldn´t be a very effective upgrade...
Higher kv rating means more top speed but less torque... the 5700 will support 3s lipos to the best of my knowledge so you might look into that if he is complaining of a lack of speed...

Alright, pictures INCOMING!!!!!!!
Got it up and running again with my new wheels and Sushi drift tires.
I think I did a pretty good job on the mods with only a hack saw and a file

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)
thx for the replies, guys.my rustler satisfies my speed needs,as it is a handful, yet durable as well.this camaro caught my eye,as i used to own a 69 RS/SS with the same paint scheme for a number of years until i sold it in 2000.
