From looking at the manuals on the HPI site, all of the Sprint cars share the chassis.

Sorry guys, I have no idea where I got that arm, I found it in my "extra parts" tool box and it just happened to fit.
It could possibly belong to one of my other cars.

i have been reading up and correct me of i am wrong..

in a sprint i want a 1/10 motor..
is 540 the size i am looking for.. or biggest can

i see stuff about T and poles.. are the poles the amount of magnets in teh motor?
and t is the turn wraps?

is lower t more torque and higher more top speed?

You are correct on some parts. The "t" is what it is equivallent to for a brushed motor. Lower turns means a faster motor. More poles means more torque. Yes you want a 540 size motor. And it depends on what you are shooting for. Me myself, I'm running a Castle Sidewinder system in my drift car with a 5700 Kv 4 pole motor. The 5700 Kv motor is a little much for drifting, but I have it geared down to balance the speed.

sounds good.. now i just need to pick a motor esc combo.. id like to get a castle .. but its just to expensive for me unless there is somthing in the 110 doller range for a esc / motor.. guessing 4500 kv should be a good for me..
its just a basher.. i drift .. and race ..
i was thinkning of somthing like this.. http://www.hobbypartz.com/77p-lbwr3650-8-5t-4450kv.html
or is there a castle combo in that price range?

I'm not familiar with the leopard motors. There are alot of people running the Hobbywing ESCs and motors. Most of those you can pick up for under 100. And from what I've read and heard they seem to be pretty good for the price.

Have you guys seen the new traxxas x? 100mph out the box. What going on with HPI? What haven't they stepped up their game? I'm a big fan of hpi. I have a an RS4-3, savage x and a Sprint 2 flux and none will get near what that Traxxas can do.

I think HPI has let go of their only onroad nitro car and that was the R40. HPI needs better onroad nittro and offroad cars and trucks.

What is your opinion on this?

I have heard of the XO-1. It's kind of impressive. But there is one drawback. It's MSRP is $1099

And you need an iphone or ipod touch to get the app to get rid of the rpm limiter in order to reach those high speeds. Plus, you need a large area to run the car. I think its overkill and not a practical car at all. They should have redone the electric 4tec and added a brushless system.

LMAO...... I would rather own an HPI than a Traxxas any day. Why do you think "HPI needs better onroad nittro and offroad cars and trucks"?
HPI has Traxxas beat at almost every scale IMO. Also the R40 isn't HPI's only nitro onroad car.

I dont think so. I like both HPI and Traxxas, but i think Traxxas has the edge. They have more vehicles to choose from.

LOL.... only because they reuse the same chassis for different vehicles..

Well it works. HPI doesnt offer enough of a selection. No nitro short course truck, no 1/16 scale. HPI is either a RS4, a Savage or a Baja basically. I own both companies and like them both of their stuff differently.

Love what your sayin dragon!
and on the "no 16th scale" well HPI does have their new 18th scale Mini Recon, that I hear is nice for the price! 100 bucks
and with a $50 motor and esc hopup they run even better
I don't think many Nitro SC trucks have sold... more elctric fans I think
and HPI did come out with their new 8th scale brushless SC and C1 that kinda sweet
