Default New M-Chassis from HPI !

I was just checking out HPI's website (as I do everyday) for new stuff, and what do you know, they have a new M-chassis coming out!

Check out there site here:
[link=http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/100594/]http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/100594/[/link]

That's where I got this picture from, it looks pretty cool, and it says they are planning on coming out with a bunch of bodys and wheels & tires.
Definately looks different, I'm likeing it!
Whats everyone think of it?

I just looked for that earlier today, and didn't see it! I'm game to try one! Really looking forward to see what bodies they release!

Doesn't look anything like the prototype pics that have been circulating around... wonder if it's the same car?

Cheers,
Skottoman

I remember seeing a FWD prototype around the web, so maybe they have plans for one of them as well. But I will deffiantely be trying one of these out, hopefully the price won't be outrageous.

I'm looking forward to some of there bodies as well, ABC hobby already makes some killer retro japanese cars, hopefully HPI can add some european, and american classics now! Although I can't think of many classic "compact" american cars, lol.

I'd like to see the cosworth as well. Also wouldn't mind an old ford escort mk1, ford capri, and maybe a renault clio v6.
Hopefully they will re-release their mini cooper body again, I got one still in the bag, but after they discontinued it I decided to just hold on to it. Theirs was a lot cheaper than Tamiyas mini cooper too.

It's AWD though...

For me I would only get a mini chassis for scale looks to bigger cars. So it'd have to be either RWD or FWD so I can use Civic Type R or S2000 shells

Though still looks like a good kit

I'm sure you could always remove a diff, bevel gear, or at the very least, dogbones for scale FWD or RWD. Not a problem.

I think HPI is seeing a market in the higher quality, closer to scale look. ABC hobbies has done really well with their M chassis bodies.
Can't wait to see what HPI will come out with. The 240z is a looker!

Skottoman

I can't find any info on the price yet either, and all I read is it will be released in the spring.
