Default ESC MOTOR PROBLEMS

I have a new stock Losi-XXXS,which i've only ran a few times.Ever time i have used it the motor runs real hot.Last weekend i was racing and in the main it just quit and the esc was smoking, needless to say i had to replace.I bought a IPC V8.1 and instlled it.Ran it up an down the street a few times and it started smoking again. This time it was the motor which was fried. The esc was fine.It had a Novak XRS esc(which got fried) with a trinity 19t motor(which is fried) 88t spur gear,a venom 4200 battery,an i've used 16-28 pinion gears with the same results.Does anyone have any helpful advice?
Thanks in advance

Default RE: ESC MOTOR PROBLEMS

take the pinion off the motor and make SURE that the drive train spins freely. any kind of binding anywhere in the drive train can excessive drag and over heat both motor and speed control. also to get the belt on your losi spinning easier, you can put the belt in a ziplock bag and soak it in wd40 about(3 hours seems to work fine) ho;pe this helps.
