Nope, they are just like yours. And thanx fior the great pic, I can see yours clearly not like my phones camera it realy sucks.

But back to the shock tower, I had broken one of the ends so I cut off the other end too and also my shocks are all the way in towards the center on the tower and all the way out on the Arms.

So you broke one side of the carbon tower, and then took the other side off?

I think you should get another one and that will fix your shock positioning and body post issue.

That is right. I broke one and cut one. but my body post never moved. its in the same spot it has always been.

Hey SerpentCT4S
Did you drill the holes on your rear tower for the body mounts????

On the photo I posted there are no holes for the stock body mount like yours have.

Nope, I didn't drill anything.

Are you sure you have a HPI part and not another brand?

I've been itching for a Sprint 2 Flux for a few weeks and all 3 kits are now showing discontinued at Tower Hobby.

However it does look like they will be releasing a new kit with different bodies, such as the Porsche listed on the HPI UK site. Hopefully I won't have to wait long.

Hey guys, at what rate should i discharge and charge some 5000mah NiMh batteries that have been sitting for a while and how many times should I do it to get back they're life. By sitting for a while I mean maybe a few months.

stevenwilliams 05-19-2011 02:32 AM

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

If they have only been sitting a few months I'd just give them a single 1A discharge and charge as normal.

What was the charge like when you left them? I never used to leave mine fully charged.. Always a partial if leaving them for a long time.

Now i've moved onto Lipo it's even more important to prep them before storing.

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

I'm really not sure in what state they were left before storing because they are my friends that he's giving me. Thanks for the info!

If anyone is interested, I have a painted HPI Evo X body. It has never been ran. I finished it a few weeks ago and decided to sell it instead.

If you are interested, email me at [email protected].

$35 shipped for it.

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

Hello.
I just got my Sprint 2 Flux last week, and it is already out of commission. I don't know when exactly, but when I was driving the car, and gave it some throttle, it made a "whiz" sound each and every time. The first time, I notice that the pinion gear was loose, so I tightened that up. It was fine for a little while than shortly after, it started doing it again. Pinion was perfectly fine. So last night I did some diagnosing and inspection. I noticed two bolts were missing from this piece:
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/a3d57870.jpg
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/ca1a2d63.jpg

So I also decided to take a couple videos so maybe you guys can see/hear what I'm talking about. First video is w/ the spur gear on the car, being powered by the motor/pinion. Notice the wobble.

http://s143.photobucket.com/albums/r...t=c589f35c.mp4

Second video is with the spur gear off, and me spinning the drivetrain w/ a phillips head bit attached to a drill. Also notice the wobble. Is this all common?

http://s143.photobucket.com/albums/r...t=13385c80.mp4

Also, here's a picture of the spur gear taken off the car and laid flat on a table:
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/532c78a7.jpg
The one side is a good 3-4mm high off the table.

Hi guys. I am having a problem with my flux. Its like anytime I bump a curb with medium to light force the camber arm pops off. That wouldn't be so bad if the dogbones didn't pop out also. Now you have to go on a manhunt just to find those little suckers. Pain in the *****. Does anyone else have this problem? Did anyone find or know a solution? thank you. heres some pics so you can see it visually.

That's an easy fix, replace all the ball cups with RPM ones, it will never come out again, they are even pretty hard to take out when you want to.

$5 enough to replace them all, I'm sure you're LHS carries them.

http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/product...c/steering.htm

You want the ones on the bottom of the page

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

chillymostly,

Replace ALL the ballcups in the entire car with rod ends and hollow balls, like those from Axial or Traxxas. Ballcups are garbage. Once loose (as you've found out), they stay that way, and only get worse. Rod ends and hollow balls have no such problem. They are tight, and stay that way, keeping steering and camber links from doing what yours is doing.
All my on-road cars are rod end and hollow ball equipped, and I never have troubles anywhere they are installed!:)

Try it! It works!

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

When you replace the screws put some threadlock on them. I found they worked loose dur to vibration but the threadlock sorted it.

Does anyone know where I can get the Graphite parts from? Everyplace I look doesnt have any in stock or it says discontinued.

Car-Tune 05-29-2011 07:35 PM

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

Is that right? That really sucks. The Sprint is not a very old car. Why would they be discontinuing it? its too new if a car. Maybe that new mustang drift car is taking over since it car be a touring car and a drifted.. I own one too and what to do now for spare parts?

justinl7294 05-29-2011 07:39 PM

RE: OFFICIAL HPI Sprint 2 Thread (Sport and Flux)

they still sell a lot of the spare parts. but most of the option parts says out of stock on the hpi site, some online stores said backorder or discontinued.</p>
