Skip Stewart's Prometheus on RealFlight!
There is a beautiful, 40% scale version of Skip Stewart's "Prometheus" available for free download on the RealFlight G4.5 Swap Pages, here: http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/down...=file&id=13748
The 3D model and RF flight envelope were created by Owen Hewitt (polypoke), who some of you may know from his extensive work with MS Flight Sim projects, perhaps most noteably his creation of the stunning [link=http://www.screenshotartist.co.uk/eaglesoft_twin_comanche.htm]Eaglesoft Twin Comanche[/link] payware file.
Owen was able to enlist the first-hand expertise of professional aerobatic pilot [link=http://www.skipstewartairshows.com/]Skip Stewart[/link], the owner and pilot of the real world Prometheus. Along the way, Owen found additional resources in Patric Leis, who has built a real, 42% scale RC version of Skip's plane. As well, Marco Türr and Sebastian Skupch are to be recognized for providing a high-resolution 3D model that acted as a virtual template for the visual mesh that Owen created for RealFlight. RF physics Guru Doug Kaye (dhk79) provided CoG and aircraft weight advice for the model's flight envelope.
Who am I? Just the painter...I was honored to be asked to replicate the RW Prometheus' paint scheme and reflective properties within the sim, and worked together with Owen to create the "normal' or "bump" map that adds surface textures to the model in sim.

Anyway, many hours of collaborative labor were invested in an attempt to do this amazing plane some justice within the RF simulator, WE hope you enjoy it!
