Default Real Flight Basic how do I........?

This seems like a good sim BUT the extreem lack of any
instructins at all are completely unexceptable!!!!

Can anyone tell me what keyboard commands are available?

And what does the upper left switch on the controller do ?

Why they cant put 1 piece of paper with this info on it is a joke!!!

Thanks Jimmy

No paper but you get a manual that is 351 pages long.

When you click on the desktop ICON to open Real Flight, look on the start window. There are 6 options in big light-background boxes. The 5th one down says, "Open Help File".

Click on that and they provide you with a fairly big manual that covers most things.

On my controller, there is a label pointing at the upper left switch. It appears to control Idle Up (for helicopters, I suppose) and Channel 8 mode for models that have been setup to do something on that channel.

Oh yeah, page 36 of the manual you have installed with the software lists the keyboard commands. It's a whole page worth.

Since the soft copy of the manual is a pdf file, page 36 will probably display on your screen as a higher number. You can move a pdf file through it's pages with the up and down arrows that show up in the upper left of the screen, on the function bar just above the active page display.

If you need paper, you can usually print out software files like that. When you have the file up in the display window, click on the "file" button on the Windows bar above the tool bar. Clicking will produce a drop down list and "print" or somesuch will be a little more than halfway down the list.

Hey Jimmy, I have RF Basic. The only keyboard commands that I found is to control wind speed and direction. The page up/down keys control wind speed and the home/end keys control wind direction. Im really contemplating buying the RF 5.5 system. I've been using the basic for about a month now and im getting very good at it. I always set it up for high crosswinds and fly all different planes. But after reading about all the features that the 5.5 has, im starting to wonder if the basic system gives you a false sense of accomplishment.

OOOOOOPS!!

The DVD box has a brief instruction sheet in the inner cover.

I stand corrected.
