Default RF 5.5 to 6.5 Upgrade Strange Phenomenon

I just did the upgrade and when I installed the old add on's (Vols. 1-5), every fuel powered airplane has smoke that I cannot turn off. This just occurs in the old add on's. I have played with all the engine edit smoke and exhaust functions and have no relief. It just does not seem right to fly a DC-3 or B-17 ( battle damage?) with smoke. Any suggestions?

Found out you have to totally eliminate smoke and/or exhaust in the editor. I really wanted to make smoke controlable and not lose the exhaust. Oh well, fortunes of war and all that.

You may have a damaged Interlink.

The "upgrade" is actually a clean installation of 6.5.

Your old version remains behind and is not affected.

Go into the Control Panel and "calibrate" the Interlink.

While there you can try all of the controls to see if everything is working.

At worst contact Tech Support and they'll take care of you.
