Default Anybody want a dog?

My boxer puppy chewed through the cable that goes from my Real Flight controller to the USB plug. It's toast. I thought maybe I could splice it, but it's to mangled. Any ideas? I'd hate to have to cough up $200 to replace the entire set up.

I'd post a picture, but the dumb dog chewed that up last week....

Contact the makers of RF and see if they will ship you a new receiver. I don't imagine the controller would cost much more than $50 or so but it would need to come from the manufacturer I believe. The controllers are bound to the software you purchased so you can't just get a controller from eBay or whatever is my understanding.

I had a failure of one of the gimbals on my son's RealFlite controller. RealFlite had me send it back along with about $70 (I really don't remember). I had a new one in about a week.

P.S. I've been looking for a new puppy.

I'd swap you mine for the pup, but I already have 2 German shepherds doing their best to destroy my house

Are you or do you have any friends that are handy with a soldering iron? If so, replace the chewed up cable with a USB cable.

I have a Parkzone T38 with tooth marks in the right wingtip. You can guess how I got them. Seems my miniature Aussie would herd planes if given the chance. I live in a country development and can fly out front if the house. My dog now watches from the dining room window.

Boxers are smart dogs, he/she will grow out of it... they're like children, they need discipline and learn very quickly with the right corrective measures.
