Default RC simulators that doesn't require a transmitter

Hello

Are there anyRC flight simulators out there that doesnt require using a transmitter, but instead allow you use another controller such as a game pad? Reason for asking I just bought a EiFlite Apprentice S 15e RTF and i ended up breaking it beyond repair so before i buy another i wont to practice how to fly. The thing is most if not all require that you use a transmitter via USB, but i dont have my transmitter at this time, so i wanted to know if their are any applications out there that can work without the transmitter.

FMS (flying model simulator) will work. I used it a long time ago. It is a free program you can download from the internet somewhere. Pretty old basic simulator. I used a Microsoft two stick joystick, and it seemed fairly realistic. The background is cartoon like. Maybe there is a newer version now?
