Phoenix sim adapter
I lost the adapter cable for my Phoenix installation, and just tried to order another. Sorry, says Horizon, you can't buy that. In effect, they're using the adapter as a DRM device: if you could buy adapters you could share the software. (Of course they have my original purchase on record, but that seems not to count.)
So, my Phoenix installation is now the Mackerel simulator, as in "dead as".

I am up to date with the 5.5 Phoenix Simulator on Windows 10 and have the following Tx/Rx setups using the HK Wireless 9 in 1 Simulator Adapter ($15):
Turnigy 9XR Tx / Orange DSM2 6Ch Rx
Walkera Dev0 8S Tx / Devo RX802 Rx
Spektrum DX6i Tx / AR6210 Rx
just check youtube for the how to set it up.
allows you to use your Tx and Rx so you will get the correct feel of flying with your Tx
