REFLEX graphic card problem in Win 2K
I just bought Reflex 4.0.2 from an UK distributor. It 's pretty good Simulator for GBP 89.99.
It runs great on Windows 98SE but not in Windows 2000. After upgrading to 4.0.3 , an error saying "illegal operation..." always appears every time I start this sim. I couldn't even start this Sim in Windows 2000. In windows 2000, when I run dxdiag.exe , I can see that AGP Acceleration Texture was not available ( it was in Windows 98SE).
My system is P-4 1.8 Ghz , 256 MB of RAM, RIVA TNT2 M64 32 MB, 40 GB HDD
Could any body here help me ?

RE: REFLEX graphic card problem in Win 2K
You have an older ATI Rage 128 or an older Riva TNT? As advised on the download page, you HAVE TO HAVE the latest video card drivers installed. Please see www.ati.com or www.nvidia.com for the latest drivers.
If your card is having 31.5 or 32 MB only, please reduce your desktop to 1024x768x16 before starting the Reflex.
The above cards are not 100% DirectX 8.1 compatible.

RE: REFLEX graphic card problem in Win 2K
I have downloaded the latest (for Windows 2K) driver for the graphic card from nvidia, even flashed my BIOS to the latest version (from ASUS).
I'm considering of buying new graphic card. What graphic card should I buy to avoid the problem ? Are old Nvidia-based or old ATI-based cards not be 100% compatible with REFLEX ?
Your advise will be highly appreciated.

There are no "incompatible" cards to the Reflex - there are cards NOT supporting DirectX 8.1! When the ATI Rage or TNT/TNT2 cards were made, DirectX 8.1 wasn't there! Reflex 4.02 is depending an DX 6 only - that's good for these cards.
Geforce 2-4 cards are a good idea. Please avoid the MX versions. The TI versions even work with Reflex XTR.
