It must be PPM. What operating system are you using ? The simple parallel cables don't work with Win2000 or XP. What do you see in the calibration window when you select Calibrate ?

Some of the very simple cables don't work very well with JR transmitters. JRs have a very low voltage trainer output.

ME should be alright. Is the cable you have specified to work with your transmitter ?

You're not exactly being helpful. You say "nothing" ? If you don't get a screen with lots of boxes and blue bars then you're in the wrong program. Exactly what options did you select in FMS to test this interface out ?

Have you tried the interface plugged directly into the port with nothing else connected to that port ? Is the Tx charged ? You know that you don't need to switch it on, plugging in the trainer jack does that.

The cable is supposed to be made for this tx. In calibration, I get the screen with the bars but no movement when I move the sticks. I know I don't have to turn on the tx, I've been using JR for several years.

I got it working! I had to play around with the settings a little, but it works great now.
