Yes, the disks are the same. Use your upgrade CD, it should work just fine.

Sorry, I misread your post. I though you had the 98se upgrade disk. I think that you need 98se to recognize USB on the computer.

You might try searching the microsoft website and see if there is a driver there for win98 and USB.

A lot of places online sell 98SE at bargain basement prices now that it is a few generations behind. I'd really recommend updating to SE as it fixes a lot of problems with 98 and ads some new features.

I usually never condone coping software as I have worked as and for developers.

Default Better yet....

Why don't you go to the top?
If you spent $200.00 for G2 you can certainly afford
a better OS...as in XP. I have upgraded 3 systems to
WinXP Home/Pro from Win98. A definate boost in
in 3d apps. I don't want to start an OS flame war...
Just an Idea.

Something else that might be causing problems. Are you using a VIA chipset mother board? There are known problems with the USB ports with that chipset.

You might want to browse around here

What are you going to be using it with? Radio/Simulator. It sounds nice but has a hefty price. Can get RealFlight G2 with USB interlink/transimtter box/interface for just over twice the money.
