Default For those with Aerofly Pro and Futaba 9C

Greetings,

We all know that the Aerofly pro sim does not include the 9C adapter. I purchased 2 tower hobbies G2 adapter but no luck. The adapter worked fine for a while and started to glitch..
After hours of frustration I finally gave up and ordered the adapter that Mike (Rajul) is selling.

It works perfect. the adapter is made of genuine high grade futaba quality and it save your battery at the same time. So save yourself all the hassle and buy one if you need to. You
will thank yourself later...Or do like me: Live and learn!

Airplanenuts,

I sent cash by mail to Rajul without any issue. Rajul is a very nice quy to deal with.
He sent you the adapter by air so the wait is not long. Sometimes he is in the USA
so it can ship it to you direct. I have been hesitant also but I thank myself now.

if you take your antenna out of your TX it will last 20x longer. at least does on my JR xp622. my 8103 lasts about 10x longer.

just an FYI.

Hi guys, I guess Eric has a good question, and a very important one. It is not just about saving your Tx battery life, but also saving the Tx RF module (transmission circuitry). I have come across many customers who damaged their Tx due to using a poorly designed adapter. What my adapter does is basically deactivate the RF circuitry when it is plugged into the trainer port, without the need for removing the Tx module and xtal (adaptors that need continuous removal of the module or xtal only causes damage to the contact pins in the long run, not to mention the inconvenience). Only the coding circuitry remains active to feed the necessary signals from the Tx to the simulator. Since the Tx is not transmitting, the power consumption is extremely low !

The adaptor is designed to work with all major simulators (Aerofly Pro, Reflex, RFG2) and is designed tough for a longer life. The adaptors will be available through a distributor very soon. Let me know if you have any other questions

STLPilot, if the RF circuitry is disabled by the adaptor, there will be no need to remove the RF module, xtal or antenna. Removing the antenna while the Tx is actually transmitting will only hasten the damage to the RF output amplifier by overheating it. Many people who use the same Tx for running flight simulators and flying their actual models do not realize that they may have reduced transmission range due to damaged RF circuitry. Please be aware of this safety issue while using your Tx on any flight simulator. FWIW

Thanks rajul,
On an older TX like futaba skysport 6a should i remove the crystal and will that save on the batt.
Thats what I have been using on my sim because it just sits collecting dust otherwise.
Havent been using my new 9c for fear of burrning it up.
Thanks
Eric

Eric, that's right, remove the xtal if you're not sure. You could do a simple test. Plug in your adaptor (round DIN for the 6A), switch on your RX and see if the servos move. If they don't that means your Tx is not transmittting and you don't really have to remove the xtal

I use my 9C everyday on my AFP without any concern, and I don't have to remove the module or xtal because of my adaptor design. You should utilize the computerised functions of your 9C as it opens up a whole new realm of flying, plus you get familiarised faster with the Tx for actual flying

This web page shows how to make your own 9C adapter for less than $5 + shipping[:-]. No RF emitted and the plug turns the transmitter on and off. [>:]. I made one and it works great. Also lots of info regarding modifications to AeroFly Pro planes and airfields. Scroll to bottom of web page. Hope this helps.
