Default Is there a good warbird game for Xbox or PC?

I would like to do some warbird flying on either my Xbox or my computer. Is there anything available that has really good graphics and makes you really get into the action?

'Aces High' is a great online game (can be played offline to) built in voice etc chat to your flying buds as you vulture the fields and take out ground vehicles and aircraft, is very cool!!, it really puts you in the thick of it thats for sure!!..pLUS YOU GET THE 1ST 2 WEEKS FREE TO TRY IT!!!!. (free download)

[link=http://www.hitechcreations.com/]CLICK ME FOR ACES HIGH WEBBY[/link]

Aces High takes the art and science of vintage WWII air combat
and sets it in an online high intensity environment where
hundreds of players can battle it out with and against
each other. High fidelity air combat is the heart of
Aces High, but it doesn't end there. In addition to
flying a multitude of aircraft types, players can
also man vehicles, boats, amphibs, gun batteries,
and ships. It's the most diverse virtual arsenal
available to players in this genre and it's constantly
growing through frequent updates. In the air, on
land, and at sea, the battle rages 24 hours a day
with participants from around the world.

I have yet to see 1 good flying/combat game of any kind for a console. Most all for PC.

YES! Microsoft Flight Sims, are all good, but the Combat ones are the best!,
they have the best graphics, and you need ALOT OF RAM, AND MEMORY,
i have CFS3, i had to uninstall, cos my PC isnt gd enough, and its a pretty gd pc:

256MB RAM
80 GB HDD
GeForce 4 Graphics,

so you need a good PC, with min RAM of 512!

For realistic physics for both aircraft and weapons "Forgotten Battles" is one of the best WWII sims. For Jet action the new LOMAC or Lock-On Modern AIr Combat is probably good. You need a strong computer for both though.

Hmmm...my PC sounds kind of weak then. 256MB Ram; 60GB HD; 2.4Ghz Intel Pentium 4; 128 DDR ATI Radeon TX w/TV-out; what do you think? Currently, I run Real Flight G2 with everything set to the absolute maximums and it doesn't flinch.

Like Gary says lomac is really good, i love it, it runs fine on a geforce 5200/ 500mb ddr400 ram /athlon 2600xp / super smooth, but it is a jet sim as opposed to a prop sim, the A-10 is a stunning plane to fly in lomac and the firepower is just plain scary!!!.
Also stpilot said about cfs3 also awesome game. So many games so little time .

Jane's is coming out with an XBox airial combat game! It's not out yet, but it will be soon....I think it's called, Jane's Combat Squadron for XBox.
I rented "Secret Weapons over Normandy" for XBox once, and it was AWFUL.

Your computer should be just fine!!

My favorites are:
Dynamix-Serria WWI Red Baron. The sim. has great graphics and sound. You can hear the wings groan
when you bank the plane, also when the plane gets hit you can see wood fly. The plane reactes to damage it gets.

MS Combat Flight Simulator-WWII Europe Series. About like above with sound and graphics. MS also has WWII Pacific Series.

Jane's has WWII Fighters and USAF-United States Air Force: USAF is modern day jet fighters, F117, A-10 ext.

Jaleco WWII Fighter Ace 3.5 with on-line upgrade. FA is more an online world gaming software.
You can go to http://www.jeleco.com to check it out.

I ran all of the Sims on a P-3 533mhz Windows 98 except for Fighter Ace. FS requires a P-4 machine to run on on-line.
You will need to buy the sim then down load the upgrade. I now have a P-4 2.6ghz machine.

Hope this helps also
