Default G2 Install problem

When I download a new plane from the G2 website, I install it, but can't find the plane or heli in the program. It shows that it was installed, but when I go to the game and look at the aircraft, the new plane or heli is not there. What am I doing wrong?

firestat,

are you restarting G2 after installing the new airplanes?

I guess I have to ask. I don't have the program up and running when I install it. Am I suppose to?

I don't think you're installing to the correct folder. I'm at work, so I don't know what the specific path is, but it should be SOMETHING like: C:\Program Files\Realflight\Planes

They have to be installed into the "Planes" sub-folder.

Glowplug, yes, it is in the right folder. When I open the game, go to aircraft, the plane I installed is not there. Not sure where to go from here. It is not there.

Thanks.

Hmmmm....strange.....OK, really dumb question but, you do have the required add-ons disks for the planes you're downloading, right?

Not a dumb question at all. I had to go to the site to make sure. I do not have any add ons, and I downloaded only those planes that will work with the main program. Maybe it is a matter of procedure. Should I have the disk in the drive AS I am downloading, and reboot? Reboot AFTER I install?

Confused. Chuck.
