Default a cure for white screen on G2?

if i was to buy one of the upgrades for G2 would it have the patch to fix the white screen problem im having?

Dan,

There are a couple of things that I have seen causing the white screen problem.

1. Make sure you have the latest "patch" of G2 downloaded from the control panel.
2. Try turning off fog from the menu bar.

The white screen problems are usually caused by how your graphics card handles the fog that G2 tries to display. As far as I know, the patches fixed problems for most video cards and you can turn it off if your particular card still does not work.

i cant get the patch from the control panel because i bought it 2nd hand and cant get the details of the person i bought it from,when you say turn the fog off im checking the box that says "turn fog off" i assume thats right?

Have the latest video card drivers installed, if it's still white go into the video hardware settings and uncheck the box about hardware vertex (can't remember the exact name on the check box). That cured it for me.
