Anyone Have G3 Installed?
Lots of talk about vid cards, etc.
Someone has to have G3 installed on a decent machine and running!
Let's hear about it?
I'd like to know about the new "Advanced Instruction", and how much better it might be for 3D. I found G2 nearly impossible for 3D.
Anyone?
Thanks,
Lee Snover

G2 does not like to hover. It does not quite understand whats going on...LOL
I too am interested. Does it work with the old controller? You have to buy new? Or just the disk?

Sorry to disagree, but I learned to T.R. with G2. you can find the T.R. Cap at most websites that let you download the G2 planes. The stock 330, Suhkoi, Extra 330L, Extra 330S and edge all T.R. fine.
My Dad has the Great planes Extra 330L that the sim is supposed to be mimicing and the sim T.R.'s very close to the real one.

I was going to get the G3 but I think I'm gonna give Aerofly Pro Deluxe a try http://www.aeroflypro.com/, it looks awesome and has got great reviews for realism and it costs less than G3.

I have G3 installed and it seems to run fine and work fine. The graphics are improved. I am now trying to get the old add-ons installed.

Jrfatz:
Can you tell me how the "Advanced Instruction" feature works? Ie. they are supposed to have an instructor show you how to do spins, torque rolls, etc?
If the instructor can "show" this, then obviously it should be possible for the user. ;-)
Whenever I tried to torque roll or head straight up in G2, the screen would kind of "flip" and change orientation on me in certain posistions. I found this made it impossible for me to reall try 3D maneuvers in G2, despite what others have said. I'm hoping this quirk is gone.
Thanks!

It works the same as before - you play the virtual flight instruction recording. There are more options available to choose from - you see the radio controls move as he explains what he is doing. You try it yourself and crash - just kidding.

Yes, I understand it is the same as before, but they are supposed to have "Advanced 3D" instruction now.
Can you tell me what type of "Advanced" options they have and how well they look? I.e. is there a "Flat Spin" lesson or a "Torque Roll" lesson?
THanks!

RE: Anyone Have G3 Installed?
I have tried to run it and I have nothing but trouble. See my separate post here about my G3 experience. Also If you have any suggestions I would love to get mine working.
