Default flat spin on G2

I've been trying to do a flat spin, and can't get the CAP232 to do it....

I can torque roll just fine, and have the CG back, control surface deflection on the high side, etc., but can't get the spin to flatten.

I'd be interested in seeing recordings of others flat spinning on G2, and/or someone hosting a G2 session where I could join and get taught...

Anyone?

thanks in advance!

How do you have the cap set for torque rolling? I just received G2 and have started flying with the cap, but can't get it to try to hover - much less roll.
Could you let me know where your CG is and any other changes you've made?
Thanks for the help.

Hi All,
Yup you can flat spin on G2 however you'll need the somenzini extra 300 of www.aero3d.net.
If like me you havnt got add-ons 3 let me know and i'll post the file which uses the cap232 as the virtual model.
I've changed a couple of things so its very close to my 30% cap 232 for waterfalls, harriers, flat spins etc.
With practise i found you can make the spin go up...tried this in reality today AND IT WORKS!!!!
Have fun

Default I would appreciate...

I would appreciate the CAP file. I don't have addons 3.

I want to try the upwards spin...hehe

If this isn't also the model that does decent waterfalls, harriers, etc., please also post/email that file.

thanks!

Hiya,
Yup your right no plane i've flown is THAT good but i've never tried 3d'ing a 40%...just a 30%...heres the file slightly modified to make it feel a little more real.
This works well for harriers, waterfalls, spins (up and down) etc

Default flat spin on G2

Hi guys,
Sorry I havn't been keeping an eye on this part of the forum for a while well here goes....
into a inverted flat spin...stall the model inverted then right rudder, left aileron, down elevator.
Right now to get it flat move the ailerons over to around center or even slightly right aileron....

NOW for the good bit add some throttle (just a few clicks...below 1/4...if i remember right) and play with the ailerons to keep the wings level, the descent should now stop and with some juggling should go back up.

Hope this helps,
I'll keep an eye out on this thread if you have any questions.

Cheers
Rich
