Is there a good site to find info on building patch cables for tx.'s-to-computers for simulators. We have a mix of tx's and I am the only one with a dedicated system set up for sims and hate lending my equipment out whenever the weather is bad or people are bored. As we are in a -25 degree centigrade cold snap right now, everyone wants to "fly"indoors and I am still trying to remember how to run a heli so I am prepared to build everyone cables for their various tx's if I can find info. Any help would be appreciated (P.S., in ebay, under toy's and hobbies and then interface cables, there is the occasional cable for sale, if I have not bought it already).

It takes a lot more then building the cable, that's the easy part. You have to also built a circuit board with memory chip (PIC) and have special programming software to make the radio be able to talk to the computer. This is not an easy task and something that you can do with parts from Radio Shack. This is why these cables cost $40-$60 each.

There are a few sources of these PIC cords, not just ebay. There are a bunch of links on FMS' webpage. Also soon we'll be carrying them too.

I have already built a couple of Futaba cables that work fine but I was looking for info on connections for the GWS tx. and the like but thanks for the info, I will do some digging.
