Hi rchobby
Its Mammendorf download from same as above in the REFLEX scenery section. To run it in AFPD you need to down load the
scenery conversion tool from this forum. Its called (Get the Reflex and AFP conversion Tool for AFFD here). Go to page 1 then,
15th line down, then page 2 its the 8th paragraph down author is codepunk.

RE: NEW YAK 55sp for AFPD
Another good night flyer. This one will work in AFP but the yak55sp that is in the tools & others won't.
It is because the yak55sp has a ??? file (can't remember and I already deleted it) and the Yak54Px does not
have this file. Whatever that ??? file is keeps it from working in AFP.
Oh well.....
Ron
BTW Thanks alot Aad. And please keep the ??? out.

Hehe, actually you can get the link from the very 1st post. Whenever I post a new version, I just overwrite the old version on the server. Just grab it from the 1st post. No need to go to page 2 and the 18th paragraph.

RE: NEW YAK 55sp for AFPD
Dave, The Mammendorf scenery download doesn't seem to have enough files for the conversion tool to convert it to AFPD; the "tool" never gets beyond looking for a panoramic image. When the file downloads it arrives with another compressed file inside the original, but that file when unpacked, still doesn't contain the necessary files for conversion. The way my system downloads files may be because it's a freeware program, and doesn't have the frills some others do, but I've been able to d/l and use files for 7-sims with it, as well as the majority of the XTR sceneries - to use with AFPD.
Any thoughts on this as your screenie of Mammendorf looks like a keeper.

RE: NEW YAK 55sp for AFPD
Hi freeflyer
have you got the latest conversion tool.
Right youve d/loaded Flugweise win rar zip to your desk top make up a new folder renamed Mammendorf open this folder then
open The Flugwiese zip you will see another zip named Mannendorf. Drag an drop all files that are below it into your new named folder
Next go back to the zip named Mammendorf open this you will find another folder called Flugwiese open this folder drag an drop all these files into
your new named Mammedorf folder. OH i almost forgot you must copy/paste a GEO file into your new named folder now your ready to convert.
note: in the Mammendorf zip folder theres approx 35 files.
When done you should have in the new mammendorf folder a 64 x 64, 256 x 256, GEO files also the mammendorf folder with the 35 files. Hope this helps m8.
Regards Dave

RE: NEW YAK 55sp for AFPD
I love the way the Yak flies, but it's a little to easy (not realistic), so I tried to change the simulation speed some, maybe up to 120-130%, but changing the simulation speed does nothing, I even tried 200%. Does anyone know why, or how to fix this?

RE: NEW YAK 55sp for AFPD
try edit the plane in the plane editor? increase weight on the fuse? low down the thrust? change the prop parameters? etc etc
The numbers do not need to match of the real plane, just need to tweak them so the plane flys like the one you have.

RE: NEW YAK 55sp for AFPD
The plane in my opinion does not need to be tweeked, it's one of the best planes I've found for AFPD, it feels like it's flying in slow motion sometimes. A real plane torque rolls a lot faster.
