CSM v10 cable useful in newer sims?
I have the old CSM v10 simulator and cable for use with my 9ZAP. Upgraded my OS to XP and have effectively orphaned the sim, so I'd like to get a newer unit.
Is this cable useful for any of the G3, G3, AFP, AFPD, etc sims out there? No point in buying another one if this can be made to work!
Any help appreciated.

If it will work for FMS then it will work for AFP and AFPD. But both sims already come with a cable. Your cable (if it works) will come in handy if you use it for 2 player.

I'm pretty sure it won't work, from my understanding, all the newer sims copy right protection is in the interface cables. Like STLPilot said, when you buy a sim the cable comes with it, so you don't have to buy another interface cable.
