I read that you can increase how long a transmitter will operate while running a simulator if the crystal is removed from the transmitter. The transmitter I have now is the one that comes with the Nexstar Select - a Futaba 4YBF. Does anyone have any experience in how to remove the crystal from this transmitter? Or would doing so damage the crystal? Thanks.

Hi,

You can just pull the crystal out. Be careful not to bend the pins when putting it back in.
