SolidWorks for creating an Airplane model for G3 or AFPD?
Has anyone used Soidworks (3D Solid Modeling Software) to create an aircraft model for G3 or AFPD?
Just curious,
Ryan

Nope, but I do have it, I just never tried to use it for modeling airplanes, I mainly use 3ds Max or meta. I'm sure you could though... you can create anything with that amazing program!

3DS
then you could use the 3DS to KEX converter ...
http://www.knifeedge.com/KEmax/downloads.php
the one thing that SW would need to do is export is the 3DS with a hierarchy (e.g. wings linked to fuselage) the converter needs a 3DS with this hierarchy.
Is SW nurbs based ? if yes are you are able to control the faceting of the nurbs surface ?
