Default problems with simulator

hi, i have just bought this simluator AeroFly Pro Deluxe and installed it, but it comes up with an error saying, "aerofly pro is unable to locate usb interface, please plug interface into spare usb port", i have got a hitec flash 5x radio if that makes any difference, but it just bugs me that ive just bought a 275 dollar simulator that has errors from the start.

Hi Dav0012,

Have tried plugging in the USB interface into another USB port? Are you using a USB hub?

regards,

Tony

Forgive me, but I have to ask.. since you didn't specifically say it...

Are you plugging the USB cord in that came with Aerofly ....or just a seperate one from your radio to the PC?
You must have the USB cord that came with the software as this is the copy protection....

yes, i have just opened the box, plugged it all in, tried 3 different usb ports and still no luck, its the cable that came with it, as i have no other sim cables, this is my first sim, thought i can use it to try out new 3d maneuvers before i try them at the field

might try re-installing the software as it sounds like the USB driver didn't load for some reason....

I had the same problem but this occurred after 1 flight. PC failed to recognise USB lead and "Search" was "greyed" out so no response. All other PC USB systems checked and AOK. So returned lead and awaiting replacement. Here's hoping.
Off topic but the Manual isn't clear on whether the Tx should be switched on or not. I have the Futaba 6EXA with square adapter. I'm sure I've read somewhere that the PC powers it but it is unclear.
Any advice welcome
Regards pedall

hi, been playing round with computer and managed to get it to work, it seems that the front usb ports were not picking it up, yet the rear ones were. just changed usb ports and installed another driver, and now it works lots of fun now
