RE: G 3.544
AeroDave,
I updated last night and the characteristics of flight seem better, but there's an aweful "waa-waa" effect embedded in the sound now. It wasn't there before I upgraded so I'm 100% positive it came in with the upgrade. It's driving me nuts now! And the frequency of the droning sound increases with engine pitch. Did anyone else who upgraded find the same annoying sound?

Yeah. I just did it and think the flight physics are WAY better for the pattern ships I downloaded and the heli's seem to be smoother as well. So far I LOVE it. Before I couldn't really practice a pattern sequence and the aircraft seemed oddly unstable. Now they fly just like I remember from a few yearsa ago.
As for audio issues: yes, I think they screwed the pooch there a bit. The Tomcat model audio doesn't fade as distance increases but goes through distinct steps like loud...quiet...gone.
I'm also getting a lot of errors that result in shutdowns. It's asks every time if I want to treport the error and I do in hopes that they will work to fix it.

a ha! i had the sound really low yesterday when I flew it. I know what you mean, though. G2 was that way and the sound was like a pattern, really distracting. I'll try it again right now with the sound up.

Sound is a big part of the realism, but I can sacrifice that for physically realistic flight. Thats where WinAmp comes into play.
As far as the update goes, I really like it. I got G3.5 when it had all of those bugs and it kind of upset me, but now, I'm loving it. One of the planes I fly seems a bit underpowered, but that's an easy fix. I haven't had much time to fly on it recently, so I am looking forward to going home and going at it. Good work Knife Edge. It's a great thing when a company actually listens to its customers.
