Hey all,
I got G4 for christmas, and can't get it loaded in my laptop. It will read the first three discs, but when it calls for the forth disc and I put it in, the machine tells me that disc cannot be found. Any ideas ? I think the disc is defective. Perhaps a call to tower. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!!

It certainly does sound like a defective disc.

try wiping the disk gently with a lint free cloth... wipe from the center out... sometimes there can be a smudge on the disk

Thanks guy's, I tried the wiping thing, but not from the middle out, I'll try that. If that don't work, it's phone time.

I think RF or GPsoftware would be more help or getting it replaced then tower.

Hey all,
I called the number on the back of the instruction manual, talked to a real nice fellow. He had me go through the install with him holding on the line. Zipped right through the first three disc's, then we got to the fourth, same thing, disc cannot be found. He said he had never heard of that before and said that he would send me a new set of disc's, and that I should return the one's I have so that they can check them out. Anyway, I'd like to say Thankyou to GP and thanks for the help I got here.
