Default Realflight G2 Lite wont work on my New Computer

I have a new computer that runs Vista. I also have a very old Realflight G2 Lite Simulator that doesnt seem to want to run on Vista. Everytime I try to upload it, i keep getting the errors (This system uses DirectX 8.1 system not configured). When I go on-line looking for this driver, every place I've looked keeps saying that DirectX8.1 is only for Windows ME/XP.

I bought this simulator back in 2004. Has the time finally come for me to toss it for a more up to date one? [:-]

You can always go back to XP.

I tried it with an older Laptop that runs XP and it loaded up fine. I can use the laptop to fly with now.

Thanks
