flashing
When I run FMS with the textures on the flying sites flash back and forth between what the site looks like and light blue or they are just light blue, with textures off it doesn't flash but the ground is just squares with different colors of green.[sm=confused.gif][&o] Anyone know why or how to fix it? BTW, I do have the latest version of FMS and my computer is windows 7.

RE: flashing
The flashing is a know issue with your graphics card manufacturer. There is a work-around available
on the FMS Forum under scenery. It has something to do with the video driver or FMS and the inverting
of the bottom image in the scenery file. Make FMS not load the bottom image and it will stop flashing.

RE: flashing
Hmmm... If you go to the FMS Forum site and search for screen flashing, you will find solutions.
The solution only works with 3D landscapes, so check the .scn file to see if it says 3D_LANDSCAPE 3d.
If so, search the forum and follow the directions. Not all landscapes are made the same and I do
not have the problem and so have not created a solution myself.

Good luck!

Hello smcxx66,
Your workaround procedure to allow FMS to work with Vista + nVidia works on my configuration. More precisely:
. I have used your stadium and resort sceneries (to be found in this forum: viewtopic.php?t=4771)
. I resized the bottom image to an incorrect size (producing a white ground)
. I erase the following lines in the .scn files:
3D_LANDSCAPE 3d
TEXTURE Crash TRANSPARENT (and the 4 following lines)
TEXTURE Crash TRANSPARENT again with the 4 following lines
. I can now use FMS without any flashing
Thank you smcxx66 for this solution
