Does anyone need an old style RF Transmitter?
 

Hi everyone,

I have an old RealFlight controller that is just gathering dust. It's one of the original ones that plugs into a Game Port (this is NOT a USB controller). I even have a sound card with game port of questionable vintage to go along with it. No promises on the sound card.

I only bring this up in case some Club somewhere might have (or are setting up) an old antique PC with gameport that they're using for demo purposes. The controller is free - I'm asking only for enough $$ for postage. And, in case you're asking, it worked the last time that I used it about a year or two ago. I will warn you, it is a tad dusty.

Well, you probably have a point there, Seamus.

But, to reiterate, I offered this out in case someone had an ancient PC that they were going to dedicate to, say, providing an old RealFlight setup for public display somewhere. If someone had an old copy of RF to use, they might be able to use this controller and it won't cost a cent.

Hate to see it go in the trash when someone might be able to make use of it somehow. I'll hold on to it for another week or so before I toss it.

can this control box be ran through a game port to usb coverter? The only reason I ask I was getting ready to order one and try it on my old realflight box/ and try to run it through my modern lap top?????

I have no idea if that will work, Tom. I don't have any experience with USB to Gameport converters. But still, that's what they were invented for.

Sorry that I'm no help about that. Can anyone else answer Tom's question?
