Default Silicone fuel tubing turned "soft & gummy"

Had a problem this weekend with the fuel suction tube in my fuel filler tank... the hose has become "soft & gunny". I am using Wildcat 2&4 cycle w/15% nitro and the suction hose is blue silicone tubing... anyone else ever have a similar situation? I called Wildcat and they haven't had any other calls. Don't know where I got the silicone tubing. Any help would be appreciated.

I had some tubing do the same but I used a different fuel than you. After I sent the rest of the 50 ft roll back to the seller for a refund I purchased 12 ft of a different brand from a local hobby shop. The new stuff turned stiff and would crumble in your fingers after soaking in my fuel jug for a couple of months. The tubing I'm using now isn't blue and seems to be holding up ok.
I doubt that it's your fuel, my opinion it is the tubing.

Yes I have. I use Wildcat also. I thought I had a problem with my electric fuel pump. I discovered that the tubing into the fuel jug was doing exactly what you said, gummy and soft so it couldn't be used as a suction tube. New tube problem solved.
