Default Synthetic Turbine Oil

I have heard that Synthetic Turbine Oil (Mobil?) can be used as a lubricant in glow fuel. Any truth to this?

Default Synthetic Turbine Oil

There's much truth to it
Many of us in Oz use Mobil Jet Oil 2 but different areas of the world use other brands. I believe in Europe it's mainly Aerosynth or possibly Esso Jet Oil. They should all be to a Mil Spec (which just means that it's a very high quality for use in military gas turbines).

Personally I wouldn't hesitate to use some oil that had just been drained from a turbine at a service because the oil stays incredibly clean and they're just going to throw it out anyway.
