Default What octane

I have noticed that some make there own fuel. What octane is being used? 100, 108 or 116 (yes, other levels are availible, but these seem to be the common ones).

Oil and nitromethane also need to be mixed which is fine, but I am curious what octane is standard.

Thank you,

Default Huh?

Octane is a measurement of GASOLINES ability to resist detonation.

Model airplane fuel (Glow Fuel) is made from alcohol, nitromethane, lubricant, and other agents.

So it is alcohol and not gasoline. Even better.

Thank you very much for your knowledge. It is very much appreciated.
