Other companies make 20-20.

I have a couple cases of Wildcat 20-20 and it works very well.

I used Rich's Brew for several yrs and it worked very well also

Cool Power also makes the 20-20

yep, i know, it's time for change.
i'll be jumping to Morgan's 30% heli stuff in the YS.
just a bummer to see a great fuel company go out this way.

Wildcat was always my favorite for my Saitos, but that's about as hard to get here as the PM.... I'm supposed to be able to ask my hobby shop for it and they can get it right from Horizon, but I tried a few times and they didn't want to bring it in, they wanted me to use what they carry. All brands I have not had good results with, and I'm not naming names, I'm just entitled to my opinion and won't feed the flamers..

I met the GlowPlugBoyFuels guy at the swap-meet yesterday and bought a gallon of 15% to break in an O.S. FS-120 pumper I swapped for, still new in box.... After that it'll be using the 20/20 and Heli fuels I have.....

GlowPlugBoyFuels has got the 20/20 for YS and Saito and can ship it. It comes in quarts, I don't really care what it comes in as long as I can get it! Many of my medium and large planes are gas or will be converted, so a few cases a year should do it for me...even if it's 4 or 5, no big deal. I have to test it out, of course. I'll let you know what I find.

Too bad about Powermaster, but we're getting no good information from them, and as loyal customers I would expect better. Also, they called me to say they were right back at it, and it appears that was less than accurate....disingenuous, in fact.

Wildcat is distributed by both Great Planes and Horizon. If the local hobby shop will not get what you want and are forcing you to buy what they want to sell you they are not serving you very well. Wildcat always goes out of way to serve our customers, if your shop will not serve you call us direct at 859-885-5619 and we will see what we can do to help.

been using Wildcat in my OS 4 strokes........not one single issue with this fuel at all.....................just realized the last 6 gallons of Wildcat i have stashed in the closet are the 15% 4 stroke fuel with is all synthetic.............this is perfect for my Laser engines as they do not fare well with any castor in the fuel.
when i'm done with the PM stuff i have, i'll stay with Wildcat 15% premium extra which my LHS brings in.

Thanks for dropping in, Jerry.

I was wondering if Wildcat has a 20/20 mix....

I guess this answers my question!

Yeah, they act as though I'm creating a big problem for them by asking for the Wildcat, and I know they can get it in with their regular orders.

Thanks.

The 20/20 also runs just as good, or better in my YS's than what Power master 20/20 did.

PowerMaster used to be distributed by Horizon and Great Planes, I used to by them by the case (last was two months ago), and I was told by my friend at the LHS (Fort Lauderdale,FL) they are out of business, so no more PowerMaster. It's a shame, I really like the fuel, and preferred the metal can over the plastic, as they had six gallons in the same space forur of the plastic gallons take, and in my opinion I could see a better transition on my YS engines (very smail, but I'm convinced there was a difference)

Regards

These people took over the business. They should do well as they were into fuels already

Thanks for the tip, W8ye.

I just had a long conversation with Wade there at Texas Allied Chemicals, and they're the company who originally supplied all of the product to Powermaster fuels. They did an assett-purchase, which I think means that they bought all remaining product and any good machinery and all formulas, etc. at Powermaster. They're now shipping out Powermaster again, they just shipped a full truck to Horizon and are talking with great Planes about supplying it again. They're also building a dedicated facility for just mixing glow-fuel, rather than rotating production with Race-Car and Race-Plane fuels. It's not a big problem to do that, it's just simpler to not have to stop one thing and do another. Now they won't have to. Plus, they have growth planned. The company is almost as big as Sunoco, so I think that the Powermaster brand found a good, solid place to land. Also TAC has the labs set up to test and certify every single batch before it leaves the plant. Race-Car Fuels and Plane fuels have to have that, so they'll be doing the same to the glow fuels.

Powermaster is back to stay. I have some very, VERY happy Saitos right now....

Oh, did I mention? They're right here in San Antonio. How inconvenient! ;^)

All I had was a little typed-out (not selected) smiley-face, nothing big, and it was no big deal, more humorous than anything.

Jim, I am certainly not anti PowerMaster fuel I used six gallons of it last summer when I picked upa case for $58.00 because my LHS could not sell it. In fact I went to bat for them during the so called shorted on fuel in the cans controversy and talked the daughter or daughter in law several times working out solutions for certain of their customers. They were most generous in giving nearly everyone who claimed to have been shorted and asking for no proof. a whole new case of fuel.
While their fuel ran well it gave me no reason to change me from being a WildCat fan.

I recently went from Powermaster to Omega without problems on OS and Magnum 46 through 61's. I have stopped adding castor to the fuel as everything is broken in, and they seem to idle a little cleaner. Plenty of goo to wipe off still too!

I have not seen Powermaster back on the west coast yet...

POWERMASTER is made in San Antonio. Call VP Racing Fuels or Texas Allied Chemicals...210-635-7744 or 210-635-7755.. Have thousands of gallons in stock.
