My MCD Race Runner V4
Here is my V4, one of the first production models. I have now owned it for 5 months and despite by best efforts have only managed to break one part, a rear shock shaft and that was the result of attemping a double jump at the local motocross track and hitting the approach way too fast...
It has been the most reliable RC car I have owned in 30 years. The car is basically as it came out of the box, I replaced the fuel filter and fuel lines. I have used some alternative wheels/tyres as the stock tyres took a beating at the motocross track. I managed to split the fuel tank and rather than attempt to repair it a new one was installed.
As for the set-up all I have done is increased the preload on the front shocks and now the front castor angle to offset the worn front tyres.
I'm currently running a 26cc Alro Racing 'heli' engine and a Victory RC Pro pipe, the combination gives a good low end response and amazing mid and high performance.
The only real improvement would be a bodyshell and fuel tank that allowed slightly more clearance when using some of the popular tuned pipes, especially the Samba Four Power Ultimate one. An alternative tyre design would be a bonus as well, although if you change the axles HPI style wheels and tyres can be used.

RE: My MCD Race Runner V4
@Wicked!! I have posted a few photos on mcdrc, I had hoped to organise a photo shoot at the local motocross track but the track opening has often fallen foul of the weather...wet, windy and so on. My attempts at using a mini camera for on board video footage didn't work out either.
@TIGER76 The recovery truck is a nice target for the 'racers' to aim for when attempting to take the banked turn at full throttle...it has taken a few hits so it is now protected by plastic netting, it really should be moved out of the way.

Nice looking V4!![sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif] Do you have any video of it running? I have come close to getting one a couple of times but went with something else. I am sure eventually I will add a V4 to my fleet as they appear to be a nice buggy.

Thanks for the kind words.
I don't have any video of my V4 running. This is what they can do, excellent on board footage, the V4 won the race as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfVkr...eature=channel
