RE: a new gasser release
FGs aren't priced badly really.. and the parts arent that unreasonable in pricing.
MCD however is over the top when it comes to spare parts.. A-arms are incredibly expensive.
I'm not too sure I would buy an FG Clon. I mean you can have an FG Rwd ST/Beetle/MT for 880 from Daves.

RE: a new gasser release
another blantant copy and note that this is 4wd, could make the reliability interesting[&:], took FG about 4yrs to get the 4wd belt system sorted before they released it making sure all the right materials were used etc...
it would be really nice if these manufacturers in China would actually come up with their own stuff like HSP, smartech (finally did after cloning for years), so too SY (though it's junk at least they tried) if you go to all the trouble of tooling why not go the extra yard and actually design something from scratch...it aint that hard
no doubt engage will be selling these.... wonder what the price will be and who will be the first to bite the bullet and try one...also wonder how close a copy this is as regards interchangeability of parts etc.

Im not convinced from those two pics that the truck is 4wd,
in the second pic the thing running between the chassis and front wheel looks to me like an antiroll bar,

4wd without a doubt. I wonder who's making this knock off.

RE: a new gasser release
the blackout is just a rebadged rampage V3 built by HSP, looks nothing like the FG or clone thereof
For the euro peops you'll find 2 1/2 yrs of info, mods, problems and everything to do with pig at RRF.
I still can't believe HPI europe rebadged these, the V3 is decent value for money (4wd for 650 bucks) and seems to have addressed many of the original issues but it still has some...i would have thought waiting for the XT, which looks like it is way better (have to call it the piglet), would have been a more prudent move.
