these project is awesome.
i wonder why wheel travel and ground clearance seems not so big? maybe i'm wrong but a real protruck has 85/90cm travel... so in 1:3 should be 27/30 cm... on your pics the car looks "low"...

This is not a "scale" car, we didn't divide every parameter of a truck by three On the front shock we have 100mm travel and on the rear 180mm. We get a wheel from a quad with a 110cc engine and built the car for this wheel size (this is the most cost-effective method). To create a custom tire with rim will be very expensive, so that's it

BTW: thanks for your comment!

This is the most exciting project I'm following. Do you have a ballpark estimate of a price?

Thanks sheograth! We don't have an exact price at the moment, because this is a low-cost prototype, just to test out the custom components that need to work properly (brakes, differential, control system, etc.). If everything is according to plan the final prototype will be made with CNC machines (this one made by hand), but I think the final cost will be approximatly 8-10.000 euro's

Awesome. $10,000 for sometime in 2012 right? When will you have a running model?

I think the running model will be finished in 2012 february, for the price I can't tell you an accurate amount, about 10-12.000$ but it's only an estimate, but I'm sure that our first customers will receive a big discount ; So please be patient, I will write to you if we plan the trading model.

Put me on the list.I'd gladly promote the car all over the west coast. It seems like the most awesome truck to run along Ocean Beach.

I've been showing pIctues around, you now have at least 7 confirmed interested udders in CA. Mostly ATV guys, it would be great to drive one of the alongside or in front of you while trail riding.

Looks like a good build so far, keep up the progress. Im starting a similar axel design, have you added a o-ring groove to keep greese in etc?
