Default fitting new carb?

hi guys

got myself a new carb to throw on my zen 260, i have the gaskets & new spacer etc... but just wondering should i put gasket sealer on the gasket or not? Ive always used gasket sealer on the gaskets for engine head etc... but im just worried putting sealer on the carb gasket cuz when i tighten the bolts the sealant will prob spread out & may enter the carb etc!?

any ideas :s ?

ta in advance guys

not on the carb. to much risk. besides if the sealer cant resist gas it could breakdown and cause a world of trouble.

i use blue RTV silicone on mine. jut make sure to apply it thin and not plug the pulse hole. it prevents more problems then it creates imo.

I think the opposite as I've given myself that same issue before trying to be "safe"

The ONLY gas proof sealants that I know of is either thread sealant or indian head sealant, there's also yamabond... a fresh paper gasket is more than enough though.
