Default PROBLEM WITH CARB!!!!

i just bought and recieved this carb "Mini Pocket Bike HP Carburetor 33 47 49cc Walbro CA20" for my 47cc pocket bike motor but it doesnt fit on my engine. do i have to buy a different intake manifold or something. Im freaking out because where the carb hooks up to the engine the holes to bolt it on are closer together than the intake manifold on it.

Please help me out!!!

Default RE: PROBLEM WITH CARB!!!!

What i would do is to make a plate with two holes matching the cylinders intake port (the distance between the bolts), and use countersunk screws to attatch it. As the carb can work in any position, it can be twisted so that the holes for the carb comes just below one of the "cylinder bolts" on one side, and just over the hole on the other side. You see what i mean under here with the "O"-s and the zeroes. The "O"-s are the cylinder mounting holes, the zeroes are the holes for the carb, of which you have to make threads in to attatch the carb on. Maybe this is too complicated.

The other thing to do is to take a plate, drill suitable holes in it for the cylinder port and attatch a pipe to it(welding is the best, but JB weld or similar can be used). Do the same again on the carb-side, and mount these two pipes together with a hose.

But why doesn't it fit when you ordered it specific for this bike?

No no, you are not Ok, so this aftermarket part is maybe something you forgot to order with the carb? Just out of curiosity, do you have a link to this part?
