Default Engine porting...

i ofen considered porting my own engine,i wonder how it would run with no accurate measurments,i mean now don't assume i would go crazy
on the engine,i got dremels small and various sizes, but say if a lad worked in small incriments from the transfers and intake port, and was nice and neat,i wonder would
it make a differnce, say if a lad had a donor head he didn't mind trying it out on. i know a racer friend who does his own,he copies another proper tuned one

download yourself a degree wheel and check yourself every so often and it should be ok. I've done it on weedeater engines converted to airplane use with good success.

thanks!!!

i may use an old engine to try so if it goes 'bottom up' i don't care,i will check for that degree wheel,as i was saying a local lad i know done
it on a cy 23cc just for laughs and to see if it would work and it made a differnce,i think he said at the start it eat a few plugs i guess from the timing been
a little funny but in theory it should work. it's always good to have a 'tuned' engine to copy and maybe stick to that style.oh also maybe to start small
and just to small incriments of work to engine. that above post was very useful ranger, any more try this?
