RACO SIDEWINDER BUILD
I found an old beat up Raco Sidewinder on Craigslist. I have always wanted a 1/4 scale RC car. This one needs some work. I'm not the greatest welder, so be easy on me guys... :-)

boosted
that is slick, nice ride
listen maybe alittle help on those welds
the tubing welds apear to only be tacked
If you can get back in there, a weld all the way around will be much stronger
vibrations fron these motors cracks stuff up

That engine is a 2-stroke. Why are you not using a tuned pipe with expansion chamber? With that pipe it will be a dog. Two stroke engines need to have back pressure.
I agree on the welds with tapkoote.

RE: RACO SIDEWINDER BUILD
Thanks guys,
I'm tacking everything up right now until I get everything where it needs to be and then I'll take it all apart, weld it up and prime and paint the chassis. I am a little worried about the exhaust. If its a total dog, then I'll do something with the exhaust, no big deal.
I appreciate your guy's comments and suggestions.
Thank you,
Mario

you may have a problem keeping your engine cool your using a engine that is meant to be water cooled or mounted in a plane as it has no fan for cooling in a car it will get very hot been enclosed in the car
