Default first upgrades for king motor baja

just bought a new king motors baja from dan and was curious what areas need improving from the get go.. I was thinking of changing the radio to my spectrum with hitec throttle & futaba steering servos if the km stuff isnt as reliable.. Also got the proline undertray to help protect things.. Looking forward to getting it & having fun with it.. Hope my trusty firehammer doesnt get a complex when the new kid shows up..

Just run it until you break something...I wouldn't worry about too much since you are already addressed the electronics gear. Get a killswitch!

the spectrum has a failsafe feature built in i guess you are saying that feature isnt enough protection along with a return spring on the throttle linkage..

The spring may be your answer but it ain't mine...what if the throttle servo sticks wide open when you lose power, depending on the servo, that spring may not work.
