RE: mcd body
I have made a fibreglass mould of a 1/5 scale f150 body shell,
I made it from the brittle body that came with my rovan big monster 4wd truck and now want to build a vaccum former,
I hope to make myself a body from 3mm polycarbonate,
Can you post some pics of your vaccum former and what you use to heat the polycarbonate?

RE: mcd body
That's a real strong bodyshell
I was planning to use a twin motor valeting vaccum cleaner for suction?
Also can you tell me how much droop approx you had in your polycarbonate sheet before removing from the heat source?
For heat I'm using 2 x electric ovens side by side with with electric grill elements to heat the polycarbonate,
You got any pics of your vaccum and heat elements?
